Tips & strategy

Scan for a digit that already appears in two boxes of a band: it has only one box left, often one cell.
Count what is missing in a nearly full row or box; the last cell has only one option.
On 6×6 the boxes are 2 rows by 3 columns: think in horizontal bands of two boxes.
Look for a cell where every digit but one is blocked by its row, column and box.

Frequently asked questions

Is there always one solution?

Yes. Digits are removed from a full grid only while a solver still finds exactly one solution.

How big are the boxes?

4×4 uses 2×2 boxes, 6×6 uses 2 rows by 3 columns, 9×9 uses classic 3×3 boxes.

Can I use the keyboard?

Yes: select a cell, then type a digit; Backspace or 0 clears it; arrows move around.

Is this regular sudoku?

The 9×9 size is. The daily puzzle is a 6×6 mini sudoku that takes a few minutes.

At midnight UTC, each game gets a new numbered puzzle (#1 was September 22, 2026). Everyone gets the same one, so you can compare times with friends. The archive lets you play any past day.
