Trail Unlimited
No daily limit here. Choose a size and keep going. Every puzzle has a code — share the link and a friend gets the exact same grid.
Tips & strategy
- Corners and dead ends first: a cell with only one free neighbour must be entered from that side and the line must end there — so if it's not the last number, it must be passed through, not finished on.
- Look at the last number: everything else must be filled before you reach it. Work backwards from it.
- Walls create corridors. Before drawing, find the cells whose only access is through a single opening.
- Parity helps on square grids: a line that visits every cell alternates between 'light' and 'dark' cells like a chessboard. If 1 and the last number are on the same colour on an even grid, something must give.
Frequently asked questions
Is there always exactly one solution?
Yes. Every Trail puzzle is generated and then verified by a solver that counts solutions; walls and numbers are added until only one path remains.
Can the line cross itself?
No. Each cell is used once, so the line never crosses or touches itself.
Why can't I enter the last number?
The line must finish on the last number, so you can only enter it as the final cell once every other cell is filled.
Is this the same as the LinkedIn Zip game?
It's the same family of path puzzle (connect numbers, fill the grid). Trail is our own independent implementation with its own puzzles, an unlimited mode and three grid sizes. We're not affiliated with LinkedIn.
When does the daily puzzle change?
At midnight UTC. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzle number on the same day.
At midnight UTC, each game gets a new numbered puzzle (#1 was September 22, 2026). Everyone gets the same one, so you can compare times with friends. The archive lets you play any past day.
